Looking into the cistern, of the Early Bronze II city. This cistern is at the lowest point of the city (in the excavated area near the "point" at the southern edge in the plan). Thus it could collect all the water that fell on the 22 acres of the city, since the horseshoe shape of the hills makes this the natural collection point.
